Have you ever felt like there's more you could do to advance God's Kingdom?
I have had the amazing opportunity to go on mission with Master Cares in Uganda twice over the last two years. Leading up to my first trip to Uganda, I experienced anxiety and doubt about whether or not I should be going on the trip, but the Lord worked through my worries and that week ended up being one of the best and most life changing experiences of my life.
Throughout the trip, our team would be pushed out of our comfort zones, whether that meant being asked on the spot to lead a bible study using a translator, creating a gospel conversation and sharing the Good News for the first time, telling someone our testimony, or leading worship for high schoolers. During our malnutrition clinic, I was doubting myself when it came to being a decision counselor and leading someone to Jesus. I remember sitting with a woman who had brought her sick daughter to our clinic and preparing myself to share the gospel with her. I was incredibly anxious and full of doubt. I have never seen myself to be a great public speaker and was incredibly nervous about saying the right things and avoiding the wrong things. But I will never forget praying to Jesus and asking Him to give me the right words to say. I remember asking Him to use me as His instrument and that anything I said to this woman would be from the Lord and not myself. I prayed for God to take full control of the moment. This mother ended up asking Jesus into her heart at the end of our conversation. Her salvation was not because of something I had strategically written out before our conversation, it was because of the Lord’s power. I was in awe of how powerful the Lord was in this moment. The mother was walking away from our tent completely changed, all because of how good and faithful our God is when we call on Him. This was the first time in my life that I had personally and clearly witnessed 2 Corinthians 12:9, “...for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”. The Lord is so powerful and He will never leave you alone when you call on Him. When you ask God to provide where you fall short, He surely will show up.

Whether you want to go to Uganda with family, friends, co-workers, church group, student ministry, or medical colleagues, or join an established team, there is always room for you! Trips are typically 11 days in length.
Serve Teams - Serving those in and around current ministry areas. We have built playground equipment, painted facilities, and more. These opportunities are dependent upon the needs shared with Master Cares Africa.
Medical Teams - Serving those in remote villages through mobile malnutrition clinics or working at the hospital in Bethlehem village with doctors, nurses, and midwives through labor and delivery in our state-of-the-art maternity delivery theater or our malnutrition clinic and more.
Evangelism Teams - Serving alongside our ministry leaders, whether through door-to-door evangelism, leading Bible Studies at cell groups started by our Farm Discipleship, leading Bible Studies at our Farm or Vocational Sewing School, teaching Bible Studies at Master Cares Christian School, and more.
While in Uganda, teams will join in a water celebration and dedication. These celebrations are full of singing, dancing, and joyous celebration because the village can have clean water and experience seeing Ugandans hear of the true water of life in Jesus Christ for the first time. In contrast, before, many villagers would travel great distances for water from stagnant bodies that fostered disease and death. Each water well dug is because of the generosity of one or many who have chosen to donate a water well, allowing villages to come together and thrive. Click here for more information or to contribute to building a water well.
These opportunities and more are initiatives The Master Cares Africa focuses on to come alongside the people of Uganda to not only lift themselves out of desperate situations but, at the same time, earn the right to share The Gospel with scores of Ugandans and be used by God to change lives forever.
