This team is incredible, and if it’s not because of the patience and prayer leading up to our departure, or the hustling through the Boston airport, it is because of the fire within each of them to travel halfway around the world to share the Hope we have in Jesus!
We are somewhere between Boston and Amsterdam, and the cabin has gotten dark except for a few screens giving off a glow and the chill of an over-the-Atlantic flight. Within this team, we have Uganda and mission trip veterans, first-time mission trippers, first-time visitors to Uganda, and first-time international travelers… and my entire family, plus my mother. This is an incredible trip on so many levels.
This team will be sharing the Gospel through hut-to-hut evangelism, commissioning two houses that a previous team built, dedicating a water well, worshipping in Bethlehem (not that Bethlehem) with Bethlehem Bible Church, spending time pouring into Master Cares Christian School students, and all in the name of Jesus.
Tonight, we fly with great anticipation for what the Holy Spirit will do through this team. I am thankful for all the families that said yes, for all those who sacrificed for these team members to be on board, and for the Lord, who continues to bring men and women along to say yes to go.
Tonight we rest, but soon we will be running full speed in Uganda.
