Today was so much fun! This morning I had the opportunity to share devo. The title was “Here I am, Send Me”.  It is the story of Isaiah. We start off in verse 3, it says, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!” When Isaiah sees how holy and powerful God is, his first reaction isn’t confidence, it’s humility. He says this in verse 5: “And I said: Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!” This is when he realizes he is unclean and imperfect. But something incredible happens: God doesn’t reject Isaiah. Instead, God cleanses him and prepares him for a purpose in 1 John 1:9, it says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” This tells us no matter what sin we commit, God will forgive us every time, just like Isaiah. Then in verse 7, “And he touched my mouth and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.” After in verse 8, “And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said. “Here I am! Send me.” This verse tells us that Isaiah was ready to follow the Lord, and it is when he says, “Here I am, Send me.” What amazes me is that he didn’t know exactly what the mission would look like; he simply trusted God enough to say yes. I ended the devo with this: God isn’t looking for perfect people, he’s looking for willing people. When we recognize who God is and what he has done for us. The natural response is the same as Isaiah’s “God, I’m available. Use me!”

Then we went to the best part of the day, which was the safari. We got on a van where the top came off, and we were able to see all of the animals walking or sitting around. The first animal we saw was the national bird, which was the Gray crowned Crain. Next, as we kept driving, we saw some zebras, some warthogs, and some waterbuck. Then we met up with the tour guide, and he showed us hippos, zebras, buffalo, and warthogs. The tour guide told us information about each one of the animals we saw. Then we moved on to the giraffes. He told us some information about them, and then we got to get really close and take pictures with them. After we stopped at a body of water with about 5 hippos in it. Next, we found a spot for lunch where we got to see monkeys and more warthogs. Then the tour was done, but on the way back, we got to see a lot more of the animals we had already seen. We finished the tour off with time to shop at 3 little shopping stores, which had all kinds of souvenirs. Afterward, we took the 2-hour drive back and stopped for dinner on the way. We got to eat some food that we have not eaten on this trip yet. In conclusion, today was a very fun day getting to see all of the animals and hanging out with the crew. Things you can be praying for are a safe drive tomorrow and a safe plane ride home.
