After nearly 26 hours of travel from Dallas to the Nabisere Hotel in Kalisizo, Uganda, our team has safely arrived. One thing became very clear along the journey. These students are outstanding travelers.
Every flight went smoothly, and all of our luggage arrived with us in Uganda. That may sound simple, but for those who have traveled on mission teams before, it is a genuine answer to prayer. On previous trips, we have had bags miss the connection in Turkey, so we praise God that every piece made the journey with us this time.
Our route included a brief stop in Kigali, Rwanda, where some passengers deplaned, and others boarded before the final leg into Entebbe, Uganda. We landed early Saturday morning at 4:15 AM and moved through customs and immigration without any difficulty.
Once we loaded our luggage into the vans and everyone into our bus, the first stop was Café Java for a much appreciated breakfast. After a long travel day, it was the perfect way to begin our first morning in Uganda.
From there, we made our way to the Equator, where the students had the chance to experience a classic Uganda tradition. They enjoyed drinking a soft drink with one foot in each hemisphere and learning about the Coriolis effect, watching how water spins differently depending on the hemisphere.
By midday, we arrived at the Nabisere Hotel, where the team checked into their rooms, grabbed lunch, participated in prom with several girls from a local school, and met Ephraim, The Master Cares Country Director, along with Solomon, The Master Cares Chief of Operations. They shared how excited they are to welcome the PCA North team and how much they look forward to seeing how God will use each student in the days ahead.
After traveling halfway across the world, the afternoon was set aside for much needed rest. One by one, the students settled in for the night after a very full day.
Tomorrow will be a special day for the team. We will travel to Kyotera Bible Church for worship, where Dr. Williamswill be preaching. The students will also participate in a reception that the school has prepared for our team.

Our prayer is that each student will experience God in a meaningful way as we worship alongside our brothers and sisters in Christ here in Uganda.
