Luke 15:10
Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repents.
Uganda- Day of celebration!
Hip and knee replacements were never the intended mission in Uganda. God has given me a message and can use orthopedic surgery to open the door to the souls of those we help and allow a heightened hearing of the gospel. Today, I visited post-op patients in their small, open-air rural homes. While sitting in a circle on plastic chairs, broken couches, and the floor packed with family and friends, we read true Bible stories to draw them to the cross with cords of love. Reading Abraham offering Isaac on the altar (Genesis 22), Jesus forgiving and then healing the paralytic (Luke 5), and then preaching that Jesus is the Lamb of God who died on a cross for our sins and rose on the third day, moved two souls to raise a hand for the call of salvation! The power in the blood was manifest as they confessed their sin and faith alone in Jesus Christ as Lord for forgiveness in prayer. These two new believers will be connected with local Bible Churches to encourage and guide them in their newfound faith.
We pray for the gospel seed to germinate by God’s grace in the others who heard and denied the life-giving gospel. We ask for continued boldness and desire to pursue the lost and encourage the saved with the gospel of Jesus Christ as we visit more patients this week. Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, riches, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and blessing. Thank you for your prayers!
Chris
